What the Word Says About Shabbat

Bereshith (Genesis) 2:1-3
1 Thus the heavens and the earth were completed, and all their array. 2 And on the seventh day Elohim completed His work which He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. 3 And Elohim blessed the seventh day and set it apart, because on it He rested from all His work which Elohim in creating had made.

Shemoth (Exodus) 16:22-30
22 And it came to be, on the sixth day, that they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for each one. And all he rulers of the congregation came and told Mosheh. 23 And he said to them, “This is what YAHUAH has said, Tomorrow is a rest, a Sabbath set-apart to YAHUAH. That which you bake, bake; and that which you cook, cook. And lay up for yourselves all that is left over, to keep it until morning.’ ” 24 And they laid it up till morning, as Mosheh commanded. And it did not stink, and no worm was in it. 25 And Mosheh said, “Eat it today, for today is a Sabbath to YAHUAH, today you do not find it in the field. 26 “Gather it six days, but on the seventh day, which is the Sabbath, there is none.” 27 And it came to be that some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather, but they found none. 28 And YAHUAH said to Mosheh, “How long shall you refuse to guard My commands and My Torot? 29 “See, because YAHUAH has given you the Sabbath, therefore He is giving you bread for two days on the sixth day. Let each one stay in his place, do not let anyone go out of his place on the seventh day.” 30 So the people rested on the seventh day.

Shemoth 20:8-11
8 “Remember the Sabbath day, to set it apart. 9 “Six days you labor, and shall do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a Sabbath of YAHUAH your Elohim. You do not do any work – you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 “For in six days YAHUAH made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore YAHUAH blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart.

Shemoth 31:12-18
12 And YAHUAH spoke to Mosheh, saying, 13 “And you, speak to the children of Yisra’El, saying, ‘My Sabbaths you are to guard, by all means, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, to know that I, YAHUAH, am setting you apart. 14 ‘And you shall guard the Sabbath, for it is set-apart to you. Everyone who profanes it shall certainly be put to death, for anyone who does work on it, that being shall be cut off from among his people. 15 ‘Six days work is done, and on the seventh is a Sabbath of rest, set-apart to YAHUAH. Everyone doing work on the Sabbath day shall certainly be put to death. 16 ‘And the children of Yisra’El shall guard the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations as an everlasting covenant. 17 ‘Between Me and the children of Yisra’El it is a sign forever. For in six days YAHUAH made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’ ” 18 And when He had ended speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Mosheh two tablets of the Witness, tablets of stone, written with the finger of Elohim.

Shemoth 35:2
2 “Work is done for six days, but on the seventh day it shall be set-apart to you, a Sabbath of rest to YAHUAH. Anyone doing work on it is put to death.

Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 16:1-34
1 And YAHUAH spoke to Mosheh after the death of the two sons of Aharon, as they drew near before YAHUAH, and died. 2 And YAHUAH said to Mosheh, “Speak to Aharon your brother not to come in at all times to the Set-apart Place inside the veil, before the lid of atonement which is on the ark, lest he die, because I appear in the cloud above the lid of atonement. 3 “With this Aharon should come into the Set-apart Place: with the blood of a young bull as a sin offering, and of a ram as a burnt offering. 4 “He should put on the set-apart linen long shirt, with linen trousers on his flesh, and gird himself with a linen girdle, and be dressed with the linen turban – they are set-apart garments. And he shall bathe his body in water, and shall put them on. 5 “And from the congregation of the children of Yisra’El he takes two male goats as a sin offering, and one ram as a burnt offering. 6 “And Aharon shall bring the bull as a sin offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house. 7 “And he shall take the two goats and let them stand before YAHUAH at the door of the Tent of Meeting. 8 “And Aharon shall cast lots for the two goats, one lot for YAHUAH and the other lot for Azazel. 9 “And Aharon shall bring the goat on which the lot for YAHUAH fell, and shall prepare it as a sin offering. 10 “But the goat on which the lot for Azazel fell is caused to stand alive before YAHUAH, to make atonement upon it, to send it into the wilderness to Azazel. 11 “And Aharon shall bring the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house, and shall slaughter the bull as the sin offering which is for himself, 12 and shall take a fire holder filled with burning coals of fire from the altar before YAHUAH, with his hands filled with sweet incense beaten fine, and shall bring it inside the veil. 13 “And he shall put the incense on the fire before YAHUAH, and the cloud of incense shall cover the lid of atonement which is on the Witness, lest he die.14 “And he shall take some of the blood of the bull and sprinkle it with his finger on the lid of atonement on the east side, also in front of the lid of atonement he sprinkles some of the blood with his finger seven times. 15 “And he shall slaughter the goat of the sin offering, which is for the people, and shall bring its blood inside the veil, and shall do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it on the lid of atonement and in front of the lid of atonement. 16 “And he shall make atonement for the Set-apart Place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Yisra’El, and because of their transgressions in all their sins. And so he does for the Tent of Meeting which is dwelling with them in the midst of their uncleanness. 17 “And no man should be in the Tent of Meeting when he goes in to make atonement in the Set-apart Place, until he comes out. And he shall make atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the assembly of Yisra’El. 18 “And he shall go out to the altar that is before YAHUAH, and make atonement for it. And he shall take some of the blood of the bull and some of the blood of the goat, and put it on the horns of the altar all around. 19 “And he shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and set it apart from the uncleanness of the children of Yisra’El. 20 “And when he has finished atoning for the Set-apart Place, and the Tent of Meeting, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat. 21 “Then Aharon shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and shall confess over it all the crookednesses of the children of Yisra’El, and all their transgressions in all their sins, and shall put them on the head of the goat, and shall send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a fit man. 22 “And the goat shall bear on itself all their crookednesses, to a land cut off. Thus he shall send the goat away into the wilderness. 23 “Aharon shall then come into the Tent of Meeting, and shall take off the linen garments which he put on when he went into the Set-apart Place, and shall leave them there.24 “And he shall bathe his body in water in the set-apart place, and shall put on his garments, and shall come out and prepare his burnt offering and the burnt offering of the people, and make atonement for himself and for the people, 25 and burn the fat of the sin offering on the altar. 26 “And he who sent away the goat to Azazel washes his garments, and shall bathe his body in water, and afterward he comes into the camp. 27 “And the bull for the sin offering and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the Set-apart Place, is brought outside camp. And they shall burn their skins, and their flesh, and their dung with fire. 28 “And he who burns them washes his garments, and shall bathe his body in water, and afterward he comes into the camp. 29 “And this shall be for you a law forever: In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you afflict your beings, and do no work, the native or the stranger who sojourns among you. 30 “For on that day he makes atonement for you, to cleanse you, to be clean from all your sins before YAHUAH. 31 “It is a Sabbath of rest for you, and you shall afflict your beings – a law forever. 32 “And the priest, who is anointed and ordained to serve as priest in his father’s place, shall make atonement, and shall put on the linen garments, the set-apart garments, 33 and he shall make atonement for the Most Set-apart Place, and make atonement for the Tent of Meeting and for the altar, and make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly. 34 “And this shall be for you a law forever, to make atonement for the children of Yisra’El, for all their sins, once a year.” And he did as YAHUAH commanded Mosheh.

Wayyiqra 23
1 And YAHUAH spoke to Mosheh, saying, 2 “Speak to the children of Yisra’El, and say to them, ‘The appointed times of YAHUAH, which you are to proclaim as setapart gatherings, My appointed times, are these: 3 ‘Six days work is done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, a set-apart gathering. You do no work, it is a Sabbath to YAHUAH in all your dwellings. 4 ‘These are the appointed times of YAHUAH, set-apart gatherings which you are to proclaim at their appointed times. 5 ‘In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, between the evenings, is the Passover to YAHUAH. 6 ‘And on the fifteenth day of this month is the Festival of Unleavened Bread to YAHUAH – seven days you eat unleavened bread. 7 ‘On the first day you have a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work. 8 ‘And you shall bring an offering made by fire to YAHUAH for seven days. On the seventh day is a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work.’ ” 9 And YAHUAH spoke to Mosheh, saying, 10 “Speak to the children of Yisra’El, and you shall say to them, ‘When you come into the land which I give you, and shall reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first-fruits of your harvest to the priest. 11 ‘And he shall wave the sheaf before YAHUAH, for your acceptance. On the morrow after the Sabbath the priest waves it. 12 ‘And on that day when you wave the sheaf, you shall prepare a male lamb a year old, a perfect one, as a burnt offering to YAHUAH, 13 and its grain offering: two-tenths of an Ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to YAHUAH, a sweet fragrance, and its drink offering: one fourth of a hin of wine. 14 ‘And you do not eat bread or roasted grain or fresh grain until the same day that you have brought an offering to your Elohim – a law forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. 15 ‘And from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, you shall count for yourselves: seven completed Sabbaths. 16 ‘Until the morrow after the seventh Sabbath you count fifty days, then you shall bring a new grain offering to YAHUAH. 17 ‘Bring from your dwellings for a wave offering two loaves of bread, of two-tenths of an Ephah of fine flour they are, baked with leaven, first-fruits to YAHUAH. 18 ‘And besides the bread, you shall bring seven lambs a year old, perfect ones, and one young bull and two rams. They are a burnt offering to YAHUAH, with their grain offering and their drink offerings, an offering made by fire for a sweet fragrance to YAHUAH. 19 ‘And you shall offer one male goat as a sin offering, and two male lambs a year old, as a peace offering. 20 ‘And the priest shall wave them, besides the bread of the first-fruits, as a wave offering before YAHUAH, besides the two lambs. They are set-apart to YAHUAH for the priest. 21 ‘And on this same day you shall proclaim a set-apart gathering for yourselves, you do no servile work on it – a law forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations. 22 ‘And when you reap the harvest of your land do not completely reap the corners of your field when you reap, and do not gather any gleaning from your harvest. Leave them for the poor and for the stranger. I am YAHUAH your Elohim.’ ” 23 And YAHUAH spoke to Mosheh, saying, 24 “Speak to the children of Yisra’El, saying, ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you have a rest, a remembrance of blowing of trumpets, a set-apart gathering. 25 ‘You do no servile work, and you shall bring an offering made by fire to YAHUAH.’ ” 26 And YAHUAH spoke to Mosheh, saying, 27 “On the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. It shall be a setapart gathering for you. And you shall afflict your beings, and shall bring an offering made by fire to YAHUAH. 28 “And you do no work on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before YAHUAH your Elohim. 29 “For any being who is not afflicted on that same day, he shall be cut off from his people. 30 “And any being who does any work on that same day, that being I shall destroy from the midst of his people. 31 “You do no work – a law forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. 32 ‘It is a Sabbath of rest to you, and you shall afflict your beings. On the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you observe your Sabbath.” 33 And YAHUAH spoke to Mosheh, saying, 34 “Speak to the children of Yisra’El, saying, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the Festival of Booths for seven days to YAHUAH. 35 ‘On the first day is a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work. 36 ‘For seven days you bring an offering made by fire to YAHUAH. On the eighth day there shall be a set-apart gathering for you, and you shall bring an offering made by fire to YAHUAH. It is a closing festival, you do no servile work. 37 ‘These are the appointed times of YAHUAH which you proclaim as set-apart gatherings, to bring an offering made by fire to YAHUAH, a burnt offering and a grain offering, a slaughtering and drink offerings, as commanded for every day – 38 besides the Sabbaths of YAHUAH, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows, and besides all your voluntary offerings which you give to YAHUAH. 39 ‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you gather in the fruit of the land, observe the festival of YAHUAH for seven days. On the first day is a rest, and on the eighth day a rest. 40 ‘And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of tov trees, branches of palm trees, twigs of leafy trees, and willows of the stream, and shall rejoice before YAHUAH your Elohim for seven days. 41 ‘And you shall observe it as a festival to YAHUAH for seven days in the year – a law forever in your generations. Observe it in the seventh month. 42 ‘Dwell in booths for seven days; all who are native Yisra’Elites dwell in booths, 43 so that your generations know that I made the children of Yisra’El dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim. I am YAHUAH your Elohim.’ ” 44 Thus did Mosheh speak of the appointed times of YAHUAH to the children of Yisra’El.

Hosea 9:55
What do you do for the appointed meeting, and in the day of the festival of YAHUAH?

Wayyiqra 26:1-46
1 Do not make idols for yourselves, and do not set up a carved image or a pillar for yourselves, and do not place a stone image in your land, to bow down to it. For I am YAHUAH your Elohim. 2 ‘Guard My Sabbaths and reverence My set-apart place. I am YAHUAH. 3 ‘If you walk in My laws and guard My commands, and shall do them, 4 then I shall give you rain in its season, and the land shall yield its crops, and the trees of the field yield their fruit. 5 ‘And your threshing shall last till the time of the grape harvest, and the grape harvest shall last till the time of sowing. And you shall eat your bread until you have enough, and shall dwell in your land safely. 6 ‘And I shall give peace in the land, and you shall lie down and no one make you afraid. And I shall clear the land of evil beasts, and not let the sword go through your land. 7 ‘And you shall pursue your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you. 8 ‘And five of you shall pursue a hundred, and a hundred of you pursue ten thousand. And your enemies shall fall by the sword before you. 9 ‘And I shall turn to you and make you bear fruit, and shall increase you, and shall establish My covenant with you. 10 ‘And you shall eat the old supply, and clear out the old because of the new. 11 ‘And I shall set My Dwelling Place in your midst, and My being shall not reject you. 12 ‘And I shall walk in your midst, and shall be your Elohim, and you shall be My people. 13 ‘I am YAHUAH your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, from being their slaves. And I have broken the bars of your yoke and made you walk upright. 14 ‘But if you do not obey Me, and do not do all these commands, 15 and if you reject My laws, or if your being loathes My right-rulings, so that you do not do all My commands, but break My covenant, 16 I also do this to you: And I shall appoint sudden alarm over you, wasting disease and inflammation, destroying the eyes, and consuming the life. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. 17 ‘And I shall set My face against you, and you shall be smitten before your enemies. And those who hate you shall rule over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you. 18 ‘And after all this, if you do not obey Me, then I shall punish you seven times more for your sins. 19 ‘And I shall break the pride of your power, and shall make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze. 20 ‘And your strength shall be spent in vain and your land not yield its crops, nor the trees of the land yield their fruit. 21 ‘And if you walk contrary to Me, and refuse to obey Me, I shall bring on you seven times more plagues, according to your sins, 22 and send wild beasts among you, which shall bereave you of your children. And I shall cut off your livestock, and make you few in number, and your highways shall be deserted. 23 ‘And if you are not instructed by Me by these, but walk contrary to Me, 24 then I also shall walk contrary to you, and I Myself shall smite you seven times for your sins. 25 ‘And I shall bring against you a sword executing the vengeance of My covenant, and you shall gather together in your cities, and I shall send pestilence among you, and you shall be given into the hand of the enemy. 26 ‘When I have cut off your supply of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall bring back to you your bread by weight, and you shall eat and not be satisfied. 27 ‘And if in spite of this, you do not obey Me, but walk contrary to Me, 28 then I shall walk contrary to you in wrath. And I Myself shall punish you seven times for your sins. 29 ‘And you shall eat the flesh of your sons, and eat the flesh of your daughters. 30 ‘And I shall destroy your high places, and cut down your sun-pillars, and put your carcasses on the carcasses of your idols. And My being shall loathe you. 31 ‘And I shall turn your cities into ruins and lay your set-apart places waste, and not smell your sweet fragrances. 32 ‘And I shall lay the land waste, and your enemies who dwell in it shall be astonished at it. 33 ‘And I shall scatter you among the gentiles and draw out a sword after you. And your land shall be desert and your cities ruins, 34 and the land enjoy its Sabbaths as long as it lies waste and you are in your enemies’ land. Then the land would rest and enjoy its Sabbaths. 35 ‘As long as it lies waste it rests, for the time it did not rest on your Sabbaths when you dwelt in it. 36 ‘And as for those of you who are left, I shall send faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies, and the sound of a shaken leaf shall cause them to flee. And they shall flee as though retreating from a sword, and they shall fall when no one pursues. 37 ‘And they shall stumble over one another, as from before a sword, when no one pursues. And you shall be unable to stand before your enemies. 38 ‘And you shall perish among the gentiles, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up, 39 and those of you who are left rot away in their crookedness in your enemies’ lands, and also in their fathers’ crookednesses rot away with them. 40 ‘But if they confess their crookedness and the crookedness of their fathers, with their trespass in which they trespassed against Me, and that they also have walked contrary to Me, 41 and that I also have walked contrary to them and have brought them into the land of their enemies – if their uncircumcised heart is then humbled, and they accept the punishment of their crookedness, 42 then I shall remember My covenant with Ya’aqob, and also My covenant with Yitshaq, and also remember My covenant with Abraham, and remember the land. 43 ‘For the land was abandoned by them, and enjoying its Sabbaths while lying waste without them, and they were paying for their crookedness, because they rejected My right-rulings and because their being loathed My laws. 44 ‘And yet for all this, when they are in the land of their enemies, I shall not reject them, nor shall I loathe them so as to destroy them and break My covenant with them. For I am YAHUAH their Elohim. 45 ‘Then I shall remember for their sake the covenant of the ancestors whom I brought out of the land of Mitsrayim before the eyes of the nations to be their Elohim. I am YAHUAH.’ ” 46 These are the laws and the right-rulings and the Torot which YAHUAH made between Himself and the children of Yisra’El on Mount Sinai by the hand of Mosheh.

Bemidbar (Numbers) 15:32-36
32 And while the children of Yisra’El were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day. 33 And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Mosheh and to Aharon, and to all the congregation. 34 And they put him in under guard, because it had not been declared what should be done to him. 35 And YAHUAH said to Mosheh, “The man shall certainly be put to death, all the congregation stoning him with stones outside the camp.” 36 And all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones, as YAHUAH commanded Mosheh, and he died.

Debarim (Deuteronomy) 5:12-15
12 “When your brother is sold to you, a Hebrew man or a Hebrew woman, and shall serve you six years, then let him go free from you in the seventh year. 13 “And when you send him away free from you, let him not go away empty handed. 14 “You shall richly supply him from your flock, and from your threshing-floor, and from your winepress. With that which YAHUAH has blessed you with, give to him. 15 “And you shall remember that you were a slave in the land of Mitsrayim, and YAHUAH your Elohim redeemed you. Therefore I am commanding you this word today.

Nehemyah (Nehemiah) 10:31
31 and that if the peoples of the land bring wares or any grain to sell on the Sabbath day, we would not buy it from them on the Sabbath, or on a set-apart day, and we would forego the seventh year and the interest of every hand.

Nehemyah 13:15-22
15 In those days I saw in Yahudah those treading wine presses on the Sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and loading donkeys with wine, grapes, and figs, and all kinds of burdens, which they brought into Yerushalayim on the Sabbath day. So I warned them on the day they sold food. 16 And men of Tsor dwelt there, bringing in fish and all kinds of goods, and sold them on the Sabbath to the children of Yahudah, and in Yerushalayim. 17 Then I contended with the nobles of Yahudah, and said to them, “What evil matter is this that you are doing, profaning the Sabbath day? 18 “Did not your fathers do the same so that our Elohim brought all this evil on us and on this city? Yet you bring added wrath on Yisra’El by profaning the Sabbath.” 19 And it came to be, at the gates of Yerushalayim, as it began to be dark before the Sabbath, that I commanded the gates to be shut, and commanded that they should not be opened till after the Sabbath. And I stationed some of my servants at the gates, so that no burdens would be brought in on the Sabbath day. 20 And the merchants and sellers of all kinds of wares spent the night outside Yerushalayim once or twice, 21 and I warned them, and said to them, “Why do you spend the night around the wall? If you do so again, I lay hands on you!” From that time on they came no more on the Sabbath. 22 And I commanded the Lewites that they should cleanse themselves, and they should come, guarding the gates, to set apart the Sabbath day. Remember me, O my Elohim, concerning this also, and pardon me according to the greatness of Your kindness!

Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 24:5-6
5 For the earth has been defiled under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the Torot, changed the law, broken the everlasting covenant. 6 Therefore a curse shall consume the earth, and those who dwell in it be punished. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth shall be burned, and few men shall be left.

Dani'el (Daniel) 7:23-27
23 “This is what he said, ‘The fourth beast is the fourth reign on earth, which is different from all other reigns, and it devours all the earth, tramples it down and crushes it. 24 ‘And the ten horns are ten sovereigns from this reign. They shall rise, and another shall rise after them, and it is different from the first ones, and it humbles three sovereigns, 25 and it speaks words against the Most High, and it wears out the set-apart ones of the Most High, and it intends to change appointed times and law, and they are given into its hand for a time and times and half a time. 26 ‘But the Judgment shall sit, and they shall take away its rule, to cut off and to destroy, until the end. 27 ‘And the reign, and the rulership, and the greatness of the reigns under all the heavens, shall be given to the people, the set-apart ones of the Most High. His reign is an everlasting reign, and all rulerships shall serve and obey Him.’

Yeshayahu 56:1-12
1 Thus said YAHUAH, “Guard right-ruling, and do righteousness, for near is My deliverance to come, and My righteousness to be revealed. 2“ Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who lays hold on it, guarding the Sabbath lest he profane it, and guarding his hand from doing any evil. 3 “And let not the son of the foreigner who has joined himself to YAHUAH speak, saying, ‘YAHUAH has certainly separated me from His people,’ nor let the eunuch say, ‘Look I am a dry tree.’ ” 4 For thus said YAHUAH, “To the eunuchs who guard My Sabbaths, and have chosen what pleases Me, and hold fast to My covenant: 5 to them I shall give in My house and within My walls a place and a name better than that of sons and daughters – I give them an everlasting name that is not cut off. 6 “Also the sons of the foreigner who join themselves to YAHUAH, to serve Him, and to love the Name of YAHUAH, to be His servants, all who guard the Sabbath, and not profane it, and hold fast to My covenant – 7 them I shall bring to My set-apart mountain, and let them rejoice in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their slaughterings are accepted on My altar, for My house is called a house of prayer for all the peoples.” 8 The Master YAHUAH, who gathers the outcasts of Yisra’El, declares, “I gather still others to him besides those who are gathered to him.” 9 All you beasts of the field, come to devour, all you beasts in the forest. 10 His watchmen are blind, all of them, they have not known. All of them are dumb dogs, unable to bark, dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber. 11 And the dogs have a strong appetite, they never have enough. And they are shepherds! They have not known understanding. All of them look to their own way, every one for his own gain, from his own end, saying, 12 “Come, let me bring wine and fill ourselves with strong drink. O And tomorrow shall be as today, even much greater.”

Yeshayahu 58:1-13
1 “Cry aloud, do not spare. Lift up your voice like a ram’s horn. Declare to My people their transgression, and the house of Ya’aqob their sins. 2 “Yet they seek Me day by day, and delight to know My ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and did not forsake the right-ruling of their Elohim. They ask of Me rulings of righteousness, they delight in drawing near to Elohim. 3 They say, ‘Why have we fasted, and You have not seen? Why have we afflicted our beings, and You took no note?’ “Look, in the day of your fasting you find pleasure, and drive on all your laborers. 4 “Look, you fast for strife and contention, and to strike with the fist of wrongness. You do not fast as you do this day, to make your voice heard on high. 5 “Is it a fast that I have chosen, a day for a man to afflict his being? Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush, and to spread out sackcloth and ashes? Do you call this a fast, and an acceptable day to YAHUAH? 6 “Is this not the fast that I have chosen: to loosen the tight cords of wrongness, to undo the bands of the yoke, to exempt the oppressed, and to break off every yoke? 7 “Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; when you see the naked, and cover him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh? 8 “Then your light would break forth like the morning, your healing spring forth speedily. And your righteousness shall go before you, the esteem of YAHUAH would be your rear guard. 9 “Then, when you call, YAHUAH would answer; when you cry, He would say, ‘Here I am.’ “If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and the speaking of unrighteousness, 10 if you extend your being to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted being, then your light shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness be as noon. 11 “Then YAHUAH would guide you continually, and satisfy your being in drought, and strengthen your bones. And you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. 12 “And those from among you shall build the old waste places. You shall raise up the foundations of many generations. And you would be called the Repairer of the Breach, the Restorer of Streets to Dwell In. 13 “If you do turn back your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My set-apart day, and shall call the Sabbath ‘a delight,’ the set-apart day of YAHUAH ‘esteemed,’ and shall esteem it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words,

Yeshayahu 66:23
23 “And it shall be that from New Moon to New Moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before Me,” declares YAHUAH.

Yirmeyahu (Jeremiah) 17:19-27
19 Thus YAHUAH said to me, “Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, by which the sovereigns of Yahudah come in and by which they go out, and in all the gates of Yerushalayim. 20 “And you shall say to them, ‘Hear the word of YAHUAH, you sovereigns of Yahudah, and all Yahudah, and all the inhabitants of Yerushalayim, who enter by these gates. 21 ‘Thus said YAHUAH, “Guard yourselves, and bear no burden on the Sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Yerushalayim, 22 nor take a burden out of your houses on the Sabbath day, nor do any work. And you shall set apart the Sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers. 23 “But they did not obey, or incline their ear, and they made their neck stiff not to hear and not to receive instruction. 24 “And it shall be, if you diligently obey Me,” declares YAHUAH, “to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the Sabbath day, and set apart the Sabbath day, to do no work in it, 25 then sovereigns and heads sitting on the throne of Dawid shall enter in through the gates of this city, riding in chariots and on horses, they and their heads – the men of Yahudah and the inhabitants of Yerushalayim. And this city shall be inhabited forever. 26 “And they shall come from the cities of Yahudah and from the places around Yerushalayim, and from the land of Binyamin and from the low country, from the mountains and from the South, bringing burnt offerings and slaughterings, grain offerings and incense, bringing offerings of praise to the House of YAHUAH. 27 “But if you do not obey Me to set apart the Sabbath day, and not to bear a burden when entering the gates of Yerushalayim on the Sabbath day, then I shall kindle a fire in its gates, and it shall consume the palaces of Yerushalayim, and not be quenched.” ’ ”

Yirmeyahu 51:50
50 You who have escaped the sword, go away! Do not stand still! Remember YAHUAH from afar, and let Yerushalayim come to your heart.

Yehezqel (Ezekiel) 20:1-44
1 And it came to be in the seventh year, in the fifth month, on the tenth of the month, that certain of the elders of Yisra’El came to inquire of YAHUAH, and sat before me. 2 And the word of YAHUAH came to me, saying, 3 “Son of man, speak to the elders of Yisra’El, and say to them, ‘Thus said the Master YAHUAH, “Have you come to inquire of Me? As I live, I am not being inquired of by you,” declares the Master YAHUAH.’ 4 “Judge them, son of man, judge them! Make known to them the abominations of their fathers. 5 “And you shall say to them, ‘Thus said the Master YAHUAH, “On the day when I chose Yisra’El and lifted My hand in an oath to the seed of the house of Ya’aqob, and made Myself known to them in the land of Mitsrayim, I lifted My hand in an oath to them, saying, ‘I am YAHUAH your Elohim.’ 6 “On that day I lifted My hand in an oath to them, to bring them out of the land of Mitsrayim into a land that I had searched out for them, flowing with milk and honey, the splendor of all lands. 7 “And I said to them, ‘Each one of you, throw away the abominations which are before his eyes, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Mitsrayim! I am YAHUAH your Elohim.’ 8 “But they rebelled against Me, and would not obey Me. All of them did not throw away the abominations which were before their eyes, nor did they forsake the idols of Mitsrayim. So I resolved to pour out My wrath on them to complete My displeasure against them in the midst of the land of Mitsrayim. 9 “But I acted for My Name’s sake, that it should not be profaned before the eyes of the gentiles among whom they were – before whose eyes I had made Myself known to them, to bring them out of the land of Mitsrayim. 10 “So I took them out of the land of Mitsrayim, and I brought them into the wilderness. 11 “And I gave them My laws and showed them My right-rulings, ‘which, if a man does, he shall live by them.’ 1 2“And I also gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between them and Me, to know that I am YAHUAH who sets them apart. 13 “But the house of Yisra’El rebelled against Me in the wilderness. They did not walk in My laws, and they rejected My right-rulings, which, if a man does, he shall live by them. And they greatly profaned My Sabbaths. Then I said I would pour out My wrath on them in the wilderness, to consume them. 14 “But I acted for My Name’s sake, not to profane it before the gentiles, before whose eyes I had brought them out. 15 “And I Myself also lifted My hand in an oath to them in the wilderness, not to bring them into the land which I had given them, flowing with milk and honey, the splendor of all lands, 16 because they rejected My right-rulings and did not walk in My laws, and they profaned My Sabbaths. For their heart went after their idols. 17 “And My eye pardoned them, from destroying them. And I did not make an end of them in the wilderness. 18 “And I said to their children in the wilderness, ‘Do not walk in the laws of your fathers, nor observe their rulings, nor defile yourselves with their idols. 19 ‘I am YAHUAH your Elohim. Walk in My laws, and guard My right-rulings, and do them. 20 ‘And set apart My Sabbaths, and they shall be a sign between Me and you, to know that I am YAHUAH your Elohim.’ 21 “But the children rebelled against Me. They did not walk in My laws, and My right-rulings they did not guard to do them, which, if a man does, he shall live by them. They profaned My Sabbaths, so I resolved to pour out My wrath on them to complete My displeasure against them in the wilderness. 22 “But I held back My hand and acted for My Name’s sake, not to profane it before the eyes of the gentiles, before whose eyes I had brought them out. 23 “Also, I Myself lifted My hand in an oath to those in the wilderness, to scatter them among the gentiles and disperse them throughout the lands, 24 because they had not done My right rulings, and they rejected My laws, and they profaned My Sabbaths, and their eyes were on their fathers’ idols. 25 “And I also gave them up to laws that were not tov, and right-rulings by which they would not live. 26 “And I defiled them by their own gifts, as they passed all their first-born through the fire, so that I might stun them, so that they know that I am YAHUAH.” ’ 27 “Therefore, son of man, speak to the house of Yisra’El, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus said the Master YAHUAH, “In this your fathers have further reviled Me, by committing trespass against Me. 28 “When I brought them into the land for which I had lifted My hand in an oath to give them, and they saw all the high hills and all the thick trees, they offered their slaughterings there and provoked Me with their offerings there. And they sent up their sweet fragrance there and poured out their drink offerings there. 29 “And I said to them, ‘What is this high place to which you go?’ So its name is called High Place to this day.” ’ 30 “Therefore say to the house of Yisra’El, ‘Thus said the Master YAHUAH, “Are you defiling yourselves in the way of your fathers? And do you whore after their abominations? 31 “For when you lift up your gifts and make your sons pass through the fire, you defile yourselves with all your idols, even to this day. And shall I be inquired of by you, O house of Yisra’El? As I live,” declares the Master YAHUAH, “I am not being inquired of by you. 32 “And what comes up in your spirit shall never be, when you say, ‘Let us be like the gentiles, like the tribes in other lands, serving wood and stone.’ 33 “As I live,” declares the Master YAHUAH, “do not I, with a mighty hand, with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out, reign over you? 34 “And I shall bring you out from the peoples and gather you out of the lands where you are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with wrath poured out. 35 “And I shall bring you into the wilderness of the peoples, and shall enter into judgment with you face to face there. 36 “As I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Mitsrayim, so I shall enter into judgment with you,” declares the Master YAHUAH. 37 “And I shall make you pass under the rod, and shall bring you into the bond of the covenant, 38 and purge the rebels from among you, and those who transgress against Me. From the land where they sojourn I bring them out, but they shall not come into the land of Yisra’El. And you shall know that I am YAHUAH. 39 “As for you, O house of Yisra’El,” thus said the Master YAHUAH, “Go, serve each of you his idols, and afterwards, if you are not listening to Me. But do not profane My set-apart Name any more with your gifts and your idols. 40 “For on My set-apart mountain, on the mountain height of Yisra’El,” declares the Master YAHUAH, “there all the house of Yisra’El, all of them in the land, shall serve Me. There I shall accept them, and there I shall require your offerings and the first-fruits of your offerings, together with all your set-apart gifts. 41 “As a sweet fragrance I shall accept you when I bring you out from the peoples. And I shall gather you out of the lands where you have been scattered. And I shall be set-apart in you before the gentiles. 42 “And you shall know that I am YAHUAH, when I bring you into the land of Yisra’El, into the land for which I lifted My hand in an oath to give to your fathers. 43 “And there you shall remember your ways and all your deeds with which you were defiled. And you shall loathe yourselves in your own sight because of all the evils that you did. 44 “And you shall know that I am YAHUAH, when I have dealt with you for My Name’s sake, not according to your evil ways nor according to your corrupt deeds, O house of Yisra’El,” declares the Master YAHUAH.’ ”

Yehezqel 22
1 And the word of YAHUAH came to me, saying, 2 “And now, son of man, judge, judge the city of blood! And you shall show her all her abominations! 3 “And you shall say, ‘Thus said the Master YAHUAH, “The city sheds blood in her midst, that her time might come. And she has made idols within herself to become defiled. 4 “You have become guilty by the blood which you have shed, and have defiled yourself with the idols which you have made. Thus you have brought your days near, and have come to the end of your years. Therefore I shall make you a reproach to the gentiles, and a mockery to all lands. 5 “Those near and those far from you mock you – defiled is your name and great the confusion! 6 “See the leaders of Yisra’El: each one has used his arm to shed blood in you. 7 “They have despised father and mother within you. They have oppressed the stranger in your midst. They have wronged the fatherless and the widow within you. 8 “You have despised that which is setapart to Me, and you have profaned My Sabbaths. 9 “Slanderous men have been in you to shed blood. And in you are those who eat on the mountains. They have done wickedness in your midst. 10 “In you they have uncovered the nakedness of a father. In you they have humbled women who are defiled during their uncleanness. 11 “And the one has done abomination with his neighbor’s wife. And another has wickedly defiled his daughter-in-law. And another within you has humbled his sister, his father’s daughter. 12 “In you they have taken a bribe to shed blood. You have taken interest and increase. You have cut off your neighbor by extortion. And you have forgotten Me,” declares the Master YAHUAH. 13 “And see, I shall smite My hand because of your greedy gain which you have made, and at the bloodshed which has been in your midst. 14 “Would your heart stand, your hands remain strong, in the days when I deal with you? I, YAHUAH, have spoken, and shall do it. 15 “And I shall scatter you among the gentiles, and shall disperse you throughout the lands, and shall consume your filthiness out of you. 16 “And you shall profane yourself before the eyes of the gentiles. And you shall know that I am YAHUAH.” ’ ” 17 And the word of YAHUAH came to me, saying, 18 “Son of man, the house of Yisra’El has become dross to Me. All of them are bronze, and tin, and iron, and lead, in the midst of a furnace – they have become the dross of silver. 19 “Therefore thus said the Master YAHUAH, ‘Because all of you have become dross, therefore see, I am gathering you into the midst of Yerushalayim. 20 ‘As they gather silver, and bronze, and iron, and lead, and tin into the midst of a furnace, to blow fire on it, to melt it, so I gather you in My displeasure and in My wrath. And I shall blow and melt you. 21 ‘And I shall gather you and blow on you with the fire of My wrath, and you shall be melted in its midst. 22 ‘As silver is melted in the midst of a furnace, so are you melted in its midst. And you shall know that I, YAHUAH, have poured out My wrath on you.’ ” 23 And the word of YAHUAH came to me, saying, 24 “Son of man, say to her, ‘You are a land that is not cleansed or rained upon in the day of displeasure.’ 25 “There is a conspiracy of her prophets in her midst, like a roaring lion tearing the prey. They have devoured life, they have taken wealth and precious matters, they have made many widows in her midst. 26 “Her priests have done violence to My teaching and they profane My set-apart matters. They have not distinguished between the set-apart and profane, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean. And they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, and I am profaned in their midst. 27 “Her leaders in her midst are like wolves tearing the prey, to shed blood, to destroy lives, and to get greedy gain. 28 “And her prophets have coated them with whitewash, seeing a false vision, and divining a lie for them, saying, ‘Thus said the Master YAHUAH,’ when YAHUAH had not spoken. 29 “The people of the land have practiced oppression, and committed robbery, and have wronged the poor and needy. And they oppressed the stranger without right ruling. 30 “And I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the breach before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it – but I did not find one! 31 “Therefore I have poured out My displeasure on them, I have consumed them with the fire of My wrath. And I have put their way on their own head,” declares the Master YAHUAH.

Yehezqel 23:38
38 “They also did this to Me: They have defiled My set-apart place on the same day, and they have profaned My Sabbaths.

Yehezqel 44:24
24 “And they are to stand as judges in a dispute, and judge it according to My right-rulings. And they are to guard My Torot and My laws in all My appointed festivals, and set apart My Sabbaths.

Yehezqel 46:1
‘Thus said the Master YAHUAH, “The gate of the inner courtyard facing east is shut the six days of work, but on the Sabbath it is opened, and on the day of the New Moon it is opened.

Hosea 2:11
‘Thus said the Master YAHUAH, “The gate of the inner courtyard facing east is shut the six days of work, but on the Sabbath it is opened, and on the day of the New Moon it is opened.

Mal'aki (Malachi) 3:6,7
6 “For I am YAHUAH, I shall not change, and you, O sons of Ya’aqob, shall not come to an end. 7 “From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from My laws and did not guard them. Turn back to Me, and I shall turn back to you,” said YAHUAH of hosts. “But you said, ‘In what shall we turn back?’

Mal'aki 4
1 “For look, the day shall come, burning like a furnace, and all the proud, and every wrongdoer shall be stubble. And the day that shall come shall burn them up,” said YAHUAH of hosts, “which leaves to them neither root nor branch. 2 “But to you who fear My Name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings. And you shall go out and leap for joy like calves from the stall. 3 “And you shall trample the wrongdoers, for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day that I do this,” said YAHUAH of hosts. 4 “Remember the Torah of Mosheh, My servant, which I commanded him in Horeb for all Yisra’El – laws and right-rulings. 5 “See, I am sending you Eliyah the prophet e before the coming of the great and awesome day of YAHUAH. 6 “And he shall turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with utter destruction.”

Mattithyahu (Matthew) 5:18,19
18 “For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done. 19 “Whoever, then, breaks one of the least of these commands, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the reign of the heavens; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the reign of the heavens.

Debarim (Deuteronomy) 12:32
32 “All the words I am commanding you, guard to do it – do not add to it nor take away from it.

Mattithyahu 7:21-23
21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Master, Master,’ shall enter into the reign of the heavens, but he who is doing the desire of My Father in the heavens. 22 “Many shall say to Me in that day, ‘Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and done many mighty works in Your Name?’ 23 “And then I shall declare to them, ‘I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work lawlessness!

Mattithyahu 12:8
8 “For the Son of Adam is Master of the Sabbath.”

Mattithyahu 15:1-9
1 Then there came to Yahusha scribes and Pharisees from Yerushalayim, saying, 2 “Why do Your taught ones transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread.” 3 But He answering, said to them, “Why do you also transgress the command of Elohim because of your tradition? 4“ For Elohim has commanded, saying, ‘Respect your father and your mother,’ and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ 5 “But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me has been dedicated,” 6 is certainly released from respecting his father or mother.’ So you have nullified the command of Elohim by your tradition. 7 “Hypocrites! Yeshayahu rightly prophesied about you, saying, 8 ‘This people draw near to Me with their mouth, and respect Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. 9 ‘But in vain do they worship Me, teaching as teachings the commands of men.’

Luke 4:16
16 And He came to Natsareth, where He had been brought up. And according to His practice, He went into the congregation on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.

Mark 7:6-13
6 And He answering, said to them, “Well did Yeshayahu prophesy concerning you hypocrites, as it has been written, ‘This people respect Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. 7 And in vain do they worship Me, teaching as teachings the commands of men.’ 8 “Forsaking the command of Elohim, you hold fast the tradition of men.” 9 And He said to them, “Well do you set aside the command of Elohim, in order to guard your tradition. 10 “For Mosheh said, ‘Respect your father and your mother,’ and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ 11 “But you say, ‘If a man says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me, is Qorban (that is, a gift),” ’12 you no longer let him do any matter at all for his father or his mother, 13 nullifying the Word of Elohim through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such traditions you do.”

Yeshayahu (Isaiah) 29:13
13 And YAHUAH says, “Because this people has drawn near with its mouth, and with its lips they have esteemed Me, and it has kept its heart far from Me, and their fear of Me has become a command of men that is taught!

Mattithyahu 24:20
20 “And pray that your flight does not take place in winter or on the Sabbath.

Mattithyahu 28:1

Mark 2:27,28
27 And He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. 28 “So the Son of Adam is also Master of the Sabbath.”

Mark 3:1-5
1 And He went into the congregation again, and a man who had a withered hand was there. 2 And they were watching Him, whether He would heal him on the Sabbath, so as to accuse Him. 3 And He said to the man who had the withered hand, “Get up to the middle.” 4 And He said to them, “Is it right to do tov on the Sabbath, or to do evil, to save life or to kill?” But they remained silent. 5 And having looked around on them with displeasure, being grieved at the hardness of their hearts, He said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and his hand was restored as healthy as the other.

Mark 6:2
2 And Sabbath having come, He began to teach in the congregation. And many who heard Him were astonished, saying, “Where did He get all this? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such miracles are done through His hands?

31And He came down to Kephar Nahum, a city of Galil, and was teaching them on the Sabbaths.

Luke 6:5,6
5 And He said to them, “The Son of Adam is Master of the Sabbath.” 6 And it also came to be on another Sabbath, that He entered into the congregation and taught, and there was a man whose right hand was withered.

Luke 13:10-16
10 And He was teaching in one of the congregations on the Sabbath, 11 and see, there was a woman having a weakening spirit for eighteen years, and was bent over and was unable to straighten up at all. 12 And Yahusha, seeing her, called her near and said to her, “Woman, you are loosened from your weakness.” 13 And He laid His hands on her, and immediately she was straightened up, and praised Elohim. 14 But the ruler of the congregation, responding, much displeased that Yahusha had healed on the Sabbath, said to the crowd, "There are six days on which men should work, so come and be healed on them, and not on the Sabbath day." 15 Then the Master answered him and said, "Hypocrite! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath loosen his ox or his donkey from the stall, and lead it away to water it? 16 "And this one, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound, look, for eighteen years, should she not be loosened from this bond on the Sabbath?"

Yohanan (John) 5:9-12
9 And immediately the man became well, and he took up his bed and was walking. Now it was Sabbath on that day. 10 The Yehudim therefore said to him who had been healed, “It is the Sabbath, it is not right for you to take up the bed.” 11 He answered them, “He who made me well said to me, ‘Take up your bed and walk.’ ”12 Therefore they asked him, “Who is the Man who said to you, ‘Take up your bed and walk’?

Yohanan 7:22-23
22 “Because of this Mosheh has given you the circumcision – though it is not from Mosheh, but from the fathers – and you circumcise a man on the Sabbath. 23 “If a man receives circumcision on the Sabbath, so that the Torah of Mosheh should not be broken, are you wroth with Me because I made a man entirely well on the Sabbath?

Yohanan 7:14-16
14 And about the middle of the festival Yahusha went up into the Set-apart Place, and He was teaching. 15 And the Yehudim were marveling, saying, “How does this Man know letters, not having learned?” 16 Yahusha answered them and said, “My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me.

Yohanan 19:31
31 Therefore, since it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the stake on the Sabbath – for that Sabbath was a high one – the Yehudim asked Pilate to have their legs broken, and that they be taken away.

Ibrim (Hebrews) Chapters 3 and 4
3 Therefore, set-apart brothers, partakers of the heavenly calling, closely consider the Emissary and High Priest of our confession, Messiah Yahusha, 2who was trustworthy to Him who appointed Him, as also Mosheh in all is house. 3 For this One has been deemed worthy of more esteem than Mosheh, as much as He who built the house enjoys more respect than the house. 4 For every house is built by someone, but He who built all is Elohim. 5 And Mosheh indeed was trustworthy in all His house as a servant, for a witness of what would be spoken later, 6 but Messiah as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the boldness and the boasting of the expectation firm to the end. 7Therefore, as the Set-apart Spirit says, “Today, if you hear His voice, 8 do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness, 9 where your fathers tried Me, proved Me, and saw My works forty years. 10“Therefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, ‘They always go astray in their heart, and they have not known My ways.’ 11 “As I swore in My wrath, ‘If they shall enter into My rest ...’ 12 Look out, brothers, lest there be in any of you a wicked heart of unbelief in falling away from the living Elohim, 13 but encourage one another daily, while it is called “Today,” lest any of you be hardened by the deceivableness of sin. 14 For we have become partakers of Messiah if we hold fast the beginning of our trust firm to the end, 15 while it is said, “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion.” 16 For who, having heard, rebelled? Was it not all who came out of Mitsrayim, led by Mosheh? 17 And with whom was He grieved forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose corpses fell in the wilderness? 18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter into His rest, but to those who did not obey? I 19 So we see that they were unable to enter in because of unbelief. 4 Therefore, since a promise remains of entering into His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. 2 For indeed the Tov News was brought to us as well as to them, but the word which they heard did not profit them, not having been mixed with belief in those who heard it. 3 For we who have believed do enter into that rest, as He has said, “As I swore in My wrath, if they shall enter into My rest...” And yet His works have come into being from the foundation of the world. 4 For somewhere He has said thus about the seventh day, “And Elohim rested on the seventh day from all His works,” 5 and in this again, “If they shall enter into My rest...” 6 Since then it remains for some to enter into it, and those who formerly received the Tov News did not enter in because of disobedience, 7 He again defines a certain day, “Today,” saying through Dawid so much later, as it has been said, “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.” 8 For if Yahusha had given them rest, He would not have spoken of another day after that. 9 So there remains a Sabbath-keeping for the people of Elohim. 10 For the one, having entered into His rest, has himself also rested from his works, as Elohim rested from His own. 11 Let us therefore do our utmost to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of disobedience. 12 For the Word of Elohim is living, and working, and sharper than any two-edged sword, cutting through even to the dividing of being and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all are naked and laid bare before the eyes of Him with whom is our account. 14 Therefore, since we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Yahusha the Son of Elohim, let us hold fast our confession. 15 For we do not have a High Priest unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who was tried in all respects as we are, apart from sin. 16 Therefore, let us come boldly to the throne of favor, in order to receive compassion, and find favor for timely help.

Ibrim 7:12
12 For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there takes place a change of law also.

Now the first covenant indeed had regulations of worship and the earthly set-apart place. 2For a Tent was prepared: the first part, in which was the lamp stand, and the table, and the showbread, which is called the Set-apart Place. 3 And after the second veil, the part of the Tent which is called Most Set-apart, 4 to which belonged the golden censer, and the ark of the covenant overlaid on all sides with gold, in which were the golden pot that held the manna, and the rod of Aharon that budded, and the tablets of the covenant, 5 and above it the cherubim of esteem were overshadowing the place of atonement – about which we do not now speak in detail. 6 And these having been prepared like this, the priests always went into the first part of the Tent, accomplishing the services. 7 But into the second part the high priest went alone once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for sins of ignorance of the people, 8 the Set-apart Spirit signifying this, that the way into the Most Set-apart Place was not yet made manifest while the first Tent has a standing, 9 which was a parable for the present time in which both gifts and slaughters are offered which are unable to perfect the one serving, as to his conscience, 10 only as to foods and drinks, and different washings, and fleshly regulations imposed until a time of setting matters straight. 11 But Messiah, having become a High Priest of the coming tov matters, through the greater and more perfect Tent not made with hands, that is, not of this creation, 12 entered into the Most Set-apart Place once for all, not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood, having obtained everlasting redemption. 13 For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the defiled, sets apart for the cleansing of the flesh, 14 how much more shall the blood of the Messiah, who through the everlasting Spirit offered Himself unblemished to Elohim, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living Elohim? 15 And because of this He is the Mediator of a renewed covenant, so that, death having taken place for redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, those who are called might receive the promise of the everlasting inheritance. 16 For where a covenant is, it is necessary for the death of the covenanted one to be established. 17 For a covenant over those dead is firm, since it is never valid while the covenanted one is living. 18 Therefore not even the first covenant was instituted without blood. 19 For when, according to Torah, every command had been spoken by Mosheh to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, 20saying, “This is the blood of the covenant which Elohim commanded you.” 21 And in the same way he sprinkled with blood both the Tent and all the vessels of the service. 22 And, according to the Torah, almost all is cleansed with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. 23 It was necessary, then, that the copies of the heavenly ones should be cleansed with these, but the heavenly ones themselves with better slaughter offerings than these. 24 For Messiah has not entered into a Setapart Place made by hand – figures of the true – but into the heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of Elohim on our behalf, 25 not that He should offer Himself often, as the high priest enters into the Set-apart Place year by year with blood not his own. 26 For if so, He would have had to suffer often, since the foundation of the world. But now He has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to put away sin by the offering of Himself. 27 And as it awaits men to die once, and after this the judgment, 28 so also the Messiah, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, shall appear a second time, apart from sin, to those waiting for Him, unto deliverance.

Ibrim 10:22-29
22 let us draw near with a true heart in completeness of belief, having our hearts sprinkled from a wicked conscience and our bodies washed with clean water. 23 Let us hold fast the confession of our expectation without yielding, for He who promised is trustworthy. 24 And let us be concerned for one another in order to stir up love and tov works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging, and so much more as you see the Day coming near. 26 For if we sin purposely after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a slaughter offering for sins, 27 but some fearsome anticipation of judgment, and a fierce fire which is about to consume the opponents. 28 Anyone who has disregarded the Torah of Mosheh dies without compassion on the witness of two or three witnesses. 29 How much worse punishment do you think shall he deserve who has trampled the Son of Elohim underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was set apart as common, and insulted the Spirit of favor?

1 Yohanan 2:3-6
3 And by this we know that we know Him, if we guard His commands. A 4 The one who says, “I know Him,” and does not guard His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever guards His Word, truly the love of Elohim has been perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. 6 The one who says he stays in Him ought himself also to walk, even as He walked.

1 Yohanan 3:4, 22-24, 5:2,3
4 Everyone doing sin also does lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. 22 And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we guard His commands and do what is pleasing in His sight. 23 And this is His command, that we should believe in the Name of His Son Yahusha Messiah and love one another, as He gave us command. 24 And the one guarding His commands stays in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He stays in us, by the Spirit which He gave us. 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of Elohim, when we love Elohim and guard His commands. 3 For this is the love for Elohim, that we guard His commands, and His commands are not heavy,

2 Yohanan 1:6, 9-11
6 And this is the love, that we walk according to His commands. a This is the command, that as you have heard from the beginning, you should walk in it. 9 Everyone who is transgressing and not staying in the teaching of Messiah does not possess Elohim. The one who stays in the teaching of Messiah possesses both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house nor greet him, 11 for he who greets him shares in his wicked works.

Revelation 12:9-11, 13:16,17, 21:23-27, 22:14,15
9 And the great dragon was thrown out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who leads all the world astray. He was thrown to the earth, and his messengers were thrown out with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in the heaven, “Now have come the deliverance and the power and the reign of our Elohim, t and the authority of His Messiah, for the accuser of our brothers, who accused them before our Elohim day and night, has been thrown down. 11 “And they overcame him because of the Blood of the Lamb, and because of the Word of their witness, and they did not love their lives to the death. 16 And he causes all, both small and great, and rich and poor, and free and slave, to be given a mark upon their right hand or upon their foreheads, 17 and that no one should be able to buy or sell except he that has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. 23 And the city had no need of the sun, nor of the moon, to shine in it, for the esteem of Elohim lightened it, and the Lamb is its lamp. 24 And the gentiles, of those who are saved, shall walk in its light, and the sovereigns of the earth bring their esteem into it. 25 And its gates shall not be shut at all by day, for night shall not be there. 26 And they shall bring the esteem and the appreciation of the gentiles into it. 27And there shall by no means enter into it whatever is unclean, neither anyone doing abomination and falsehood, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. 14 “Blessed are those doing m His commands, in so that the authority shall be theirs unto the tree of life, and to enter through the gates into the city. 15 “But outside are the dogs and those who enchant with drugs, and those who whore, and the murderers, and the idolaters, and all who love and do falsehood.

Acts 13:14 -16, 26-27, 42-45
14 But passing through from Perge, they came to Antioch in Pisidia, and went into the congregation on the Sabbath day and sat down. 15And after the reading of the Torah and the Prophets, the rulers of the congregation sent to them, saying, “Men, brothers, if you have any word of encouragement for the people, speak.” 16 And Sha’ul, standing up and motioning with his hand said, “Men, Yisra’Elites, and those fearing Elohim, listen: 26“Men, brothers, sons of the race of Abraham, and those among you fearing Elohim, to you the word of this deliverance has been sent, 27for those dwelling in Yerushalayim, and their rulers, because they did not know Him, nor even the voices of the Prophets which are read every Sabbath, have filled them in having judged Him. 42And when the Yehudim went out of the congregation, the gentiles begged to have these words spoken to them the next Sabbath. 43And when the meeting of the congregation had broken up, many of the Yehudim and of the worshipping converts followed Sha’ul and Barnabah, who, speaking to them, were urging them to continue in the favor of Elohim. 44And on the next Sabbath almost all the city came together to hear the Word of Elohim. 45But when the Yehudim saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy. And contradicting and speaking evil, they opposed what Sha’ul was saying.

Acts 15:15-22
15 “And the words of the prophets agree with this, as it has been written: 16 ‘After this I shall return and rebuild the Booth of Dawid which has fallen down. And I shall rebuild its ruins, and I shall set it up, 17 so that the remnant of mankind shall seek Yahuah, even all the gentiles on whom My Name has been called, says Yahuah who is doing all this,’ 18 who has made this known from of old. 19 “Therefore I judge that we should not trouble those from among the gentiles who are turning to Elohim, 20 but that we write to them to abstain from the defilements of idols, and from whoring, and from what is strangled, and from blood. 21 “For from ancient generations Mosheh has, in every city, those proclaiming him – being read in the congregations every Sabbath.” 22 Then it seemed tov to the emissaries and elders, with all the assembly, to send chosen men from among them to Antioch with Sha’ul and Barnabah: Yahudah being called Barsabba, and Sila, leading men among the brothers,

Acts 16:12-13
12and from there to Philippi, which is the principal city of that part of Makedonia, a colony. And we were staying in that city for some days. 13 And on the Sabbath day we went outside the city by a river, where there used to be prayer. And having sat down we were speaking to the women who met there.

Acts 17:1-4
And having passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonike, where there was a congregation of the Yehudim. 2 And according to his practice, Sha’ul went in unto them, and for three Sabbaths was reasoning with them from the Scriptures, 3 explaining and pointing out that the Messiah had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, “This is the Messiah, Yahusha, whom I proclaim to you.” 4 And some of them did believe, and a large number of the worshipping Greeks, and not a few of the leading women, joined Sha’ul and Sila.

Acts 18:3-5
3 And because he was of the same trade, he stayed with them and was working, for they were tentmakers by trade. 4 And he was reasoning in the congregation every Sabbath, and won over both Yehudim and Greeks. 5 And when Sila and Timothy came down from Makedonia, Sha’ul was pressed by the Spirit, and earnestly witnessed to the Yehudim that Yahusha is the Messiah.
