Sea of Reeds crossing -evidence day begins in the morning

Postby Watchman555 » 11 Mar 2014, 19:30

More definitive evidence that the day begins in the morning. Carefully examining the Exodus account of the children of Yisra’el being delivered from the hand of the Mitsrites in my mind conclusively shows that the day begins in the morning and not the evening. It’s very simple, come follow along…

As I’m only quoting the pertinent verses to give us the timeline I would suggest the reading of the whole chapter to make sure that everything is in order and to gain a complete context of what is taking place.

Exo 14:10 And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Yisra’el lifted their eyes and saw the Mitsrites coming up after them. And they were greatly afraid, so the children of Yisra’el cried out to Yahuah

This verse shows us that the children of Yisra’el SAW with their EYES the Mitsrites coming up after them. Now if they saw with their eyes them coming from a distance surely this would suggest that it was in the daylight hours. Take into consideration as we read that the column of cloud was with the children of Yisra’el. Cloud by day, fire by night.

Exo 14:13 And Mosheh said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the deliverance of Yahuah, which He does for you today. For the Mitsrites whom you see today, you are never, never to see again

The children of Yisra’el are seeing the Mitsrites coming, Mosheh tells the people see the deliverance of Yahuah which He does for you TODAY. Not tomorrow. Not yesterday. TODAY. As a matter of fact Mosheh clarifies saying, “the Mitsrites whom you see today” so there is no doubt that this is telling us that the same day that the children of Yisra’el are seeing the Mitsrites is the same day that Yahuah will deliver them. TODAY.

Exo 14:19 And the Messenger of Elohim, who went before the camp of Yisra’el, moved and went behind them. And the column of cloud went from before them and stood behind them,

Remember? Cloud by day…

Exo 14:20 and came between the camp of the Mitsrites and the camp of Yisra’el. And it was the cloud and the darkness, and it gave light by night, and the one did not come near the other all the night.

So the cloud comes and this verse tells us that it is going to give the light by night and we know this cloud stood between the Mitsrites and the children of Yisra’el. Reasoning and fact – they did not come near the “other” all night, it stood between the Mitsrites and the children of Yisra’el. This seems to suggest as it went before them in the cloud it was probably toward afternoon goi-ng into evening, as the story continues:

Exo 14:21 And Mosheh stretched out his hand over the sea. And Yahuah caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea into dry land, and the waters were divided.

We know that night comes because when Yahuah caused the sea to go back the strong wind took place that night and made the ground dry.

Exo 14:22 And the children of Yisra’el went into the midst of the sea on dry ground, and the waters were a wall to them on their right and on their left.
Exo 14:23 And the Mitsrites pursued and went after them into the midst of the sea, all the horses of Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.
Exo 14:24 And it came to be, in the morning watch, that Yahuah looked down upon the army of the Mitsrites through the column of fire and cloud, and He brought the army of the Mitsrites into confusion.

So the children of Yisra’el are walking on the dry ground through the sea, we know that night is not over yet because verse 24 tells us it came to be in the morning watch, the morning watch is part of the night time period that takes place before morning; hence “morning watch”, watching for the morning. Now we see that the column is a fire AND cloud; fire by night – we know it is night.

Exo 14:27 And Mosheh stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its usual flow, at the break of day, with the Mitsrites fleeing into it. Thus Yahuah overthrew the Mitsrites in the midst of the sea,

We see what was taking place during the morning watch and we see what happened right before the break of day; Mosheh stretched out his hand, the sea returned and engulfed the Mitsrites at the break of day.

Exo 14:30 Thus Yahuah saved Yisra’el that day out of the hand of the Mitsrites,

That day being referred to here is the same day that they saw the Mitsrites coming to them during the daylight hours. That is when Mosheh said, “see the deliverance of Yahuah, which He does for you today.”

Contrary to popular belief the day does not begin in the evening.
