Proving L.S. by following the instructions in Leviticus 23.

Postby BrotherArnold » 13 Feb 2008, 05:32

If we took a new job working for someone and they gave us SPECIFIC INSTRUCTIONS as to which days we would have off each year and they told us that we did not have to work on the New Moon days, the 10th day of the seventh month, the 15th day of the seventh month, the 22nd day of the seventh month, the 15th day of the first month, and besides all these, we would have every seventh day, AFTER six working days off also, I.e. we would never have to work over six days in a row.

And if they handed us the instruction book of Leviticus 23 and told us that they were giving us these days off, with pay, so that we could worship our Creator, could we find our off days without anyone telling us???

The answer is yes, if we have a working knowledge of when a year begins and when a new month/Moon begins. Its that simple, a person can find every one of the off days, including the weekly Sabbath off days if they will follow the simple instructions.

We can find the Weekly Sabbath from Scripture and Scripture Alone.

I know it is hard to erase our minds of something we have been taught because our minds are not like a blackboard but if we have a desire to follow His inspired instructions to a T, not wavering or turning to the right or to the left, but do everything that we are told and simply follow His instructions. If you cannot do this then read no further, but if you can follow His instructions, you can find out when the seventh day is from Leviticus 23rd Chapter.

We know Genesis 1:14 tells us that the great lights are for days, years and Appointments/seasons. Unlike animals, man has the ability to REASON because we are made in the image of our Creator and by using deductive reasoning upon an unbiased mind we can mark all the pinpointed Worship days throughout the year, including the weekly worship day that comes after six workdays.

This is not hard to do, we only need to take the Scripture for what it says, not adding to it and not taking away from it, we can find which days are worship days throughout the whole year such as the weekly Sabbath worship days, the New Moon worship days and the worship days that fall throughout the year such as the Day of Atonement etc.

There's no Scripture that tells us we must count a CONTINUAL uninterrupted six workdays and then rest the seventh and this can be proven by the Day of Atonement because the six workdays are interrupted by the Day of Atonement and I will show later that the New Moon Day Interrupts the Six Workdays, same as the Day of Atonement, but for now I want to pinpoint all the scriptural worship days throughout the year by using the scripture in Leviticus 23 and the great lights of Genesis 1:14.

I will prove that the weekly seventh day can be found from Scripture alone without having to go outside of Scripture and ask some man when to begin the count for the seventh day, "If” you are able to forget everything you have been taught and follow instructions.

I want to begin to find when to begin the count for the weekly seventh days, throughout each and every year. It can be done starting in the first month or any month of the year but the seventh month might make it easier for me to explain and the reader to understand. We are going to take a sheet of paper and make us a calendar and show which days we will be off from work each year.

We will start by marking the New Moon Worship day in the seventh month, as the Scripture teaches, and then will we work the next six ordinary work days and rest the seventh day, according to the contract we have with our employer. The reason we will start counting after the new moon worship day is because we have no instruction from YHWH/our Boss that these days are worship days, remember we are just following instructions. We do have instructions not to go over six work days without a worship day. And that is why we will rest on the eighth day of the month which is the seventh day after working six workdays. We also know that the seventh day is the Sabbath and comes after six workdays and with the traditional uninterrupted cycle, The Day of Atonement collides with the Scripture that says you have six days to labor and do all thy work because you do not have six days to work when the Day of Atonement rolls around, therefore as a rule we have six working days then rest, the majority of the time but not always and this is His doings. You might ask doesn't this apply to lunar Sabbatarians also? The answer is yes but we believe Sabbath simply means intermission and the Creator of days calls the shots on which days are intermission days/Holy convocations and we are simply following instructions because we do not want to get fired. The weekly Sabbath is not an uninterrupted count of six ordinary work days then rest and the Day of Atonement prove the six workdays are broken up. So when the Scripture says we have six days to labor and do all our work, it is understood that this is always true unless the six ordinary workdays are interrupted with a WORSHIP day such as the New Moon or Day of Atonement.

After resting on the eighth day of the seventh month, we have the ninth and there's nothing in the instructions or our contract that says we have this day off, therefore we work and get prepared for the 10th day of the seventh month because our Boss says it is a no workday but what about the 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th of the seventh month? Is there anything that says we can take any of these days off? No! But we understand that we have the 15th of the seventh month off and we also understand that we have to work the 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th because nothing says otherwise. We are simply following instructions and not adding to or taking away from them.

After the 15th is over, we have no contract saying that we can be off on the 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, so we work these six days but we are off on the 22nd, for it is in our contract, but we must work the 23rd, the 24th, the 25th, the 26th, the 27th, and the 28th, of the seventh month but we do not have to work the 29th because our contract says we do not have to work over six days in a row therefore the seventh day/29th, is a day off according to SPECIFIC instructions from the manual we was given.

If the conjunction/rebuilding happens on the 29th day, then we take off the next day because it is our new moon worship day off according to the contract. If the conjunction happens at the end of the 29th day, after dark on the 30th, then the first official full day of that new month/rebuilding will be on the next evening and you will have a day in between the weekly Sabbath and the official new Moon day and you will have to decide what you do here because the new moon conjunction actually begins on the day in-between the Sabbath and official new moon day but the full day of the new moon begins at the next evening. Some in our assembly works on the day in between and others regard it as a two-day new moon feast as in the 20th chapter of second Samuel. At any rate, if you follow the instructions to the letter, then the weekly seventh day Sabbaths in the eighth month will also fall on the eighth day, 22nd day, and the 29th day, the 15th day is a worship day in the seventh month but does not come after 6 work days all the other months will follow this same process throughout the year.

You will not need anyone to tell you when your off days are. You will be following the instructions and you will not get into any trouble with the Boss. The only trouble you might have is the two-day new Moon feast but if you will go to the web site at http://ministersnewcovenant.org/print.n ... ations.htm and see New Moon Regulations it will open up your understanding.

The bottom line is if we simply follow the instructions in Leviticus 23 and not add to or take away from the Word, the weekly Sabbaths will automatically fall on the 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th of each month. This is no coincidence.

Excellent teaching Bro. Arnold :D

Our group ran into this very thing a few of years ago when we was inspired by Yahweh to keep the Sabbaths according to His timing and not mans timing. So we contacted a rabbi friend of ours in Israel who also keeps Yahwehs timing. He explained to us when this happens, very rarely as it will, his congregation keeps it as a fast day unto Yahweh, or as a time of rejoicing together of Yahweh's goodness to His chosen people.

This could become confusing to people who first begin to keep the Sabbaths according to Yahweh's time piece, and throw them off the track.
When this happens, what would you suggest to them to put them back on the right track ?

RESPONSE ; I would suggest that they reassure themselves that lunar Sabbaths right are at least the best choice and they keep them the best they can and eventually they will understand how the two-day new moon works and they will become more comfortable as they go along.
