Changing of appointed times and law

Postby Watchman555 » 21 Feb 2014, 15:15

Lamentations 2:6-8

6 He has demolished His booth like a garden, He has destroyed His place of meeting. YAHUAH HAS MADE THE APPOINTED TIMES AND SABBATHS TO BE FORGOTTEN IN TSIYON, And despises sovereign and priest In His raging displeasure.
7 Yahuah has cast off His altar, He has rejected His set-apart place, He has delivered the walls of her palaces Into the hand of the enemy. They have made a noise in the House of Yahuah As on the day of an appointed time.
8 Yahuah has planned to destroy The wall of the daughter of Tsiyon. He has stretched out a line. He has not turned back His hand from destroying. And He has made the rampart and WALL TO LAMENT; Together they have languished.

Dan 7:25
25... “and it speaks words against the Most High, and it wears out the set-apart ones of the Most High, and it intends to change appointed times and law, and they are given into its hand for a time and times and half a time.”

Dan 9:26-27
26 “And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off and have naught. And the people of a coming prince shall destroy the city and the set-apart place. And the end of it is with a flood. And wastes are decreed, and fighting until the end.
27 “And he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week.

There is no doubt Lamentations is speaking of the destruction of the temple in 70 a.d. It specifically says that, “Yahuah has made the appointed times and sabbaths to be forgotten in Tsiyon”. Daniel speaks of the people of the coming prince that will destroy the city and the set-apart place. This happened in 70 a.d.

Both Lamentations and Daniel speak of the appointed times being forgotten or changed. Many claim that Daniel 7:25 is speaking of when Constantine changed the day of worship from “satur-day” to “sun-day”. That change that took place on Constantine's calendar is NOT the true changing of the “appointed times and law” - that is their own calendar – they have every right to change it as they see fit.

As we can see, in Lamentations, the appointed times and Sabbaths that Yahuah caused to be forgotten was in Tsiyon. Tsiyon is in Jerusalem -- not Rome.
