No liability assumed, no value assured, without recourse, Use at Your own risk.

Thanks to Remnant, over at Tom's board for this remedy. My children request this, it is so tasty. It doesn't sound like it, but it really is a good tasting drink.

Half an onion, peel off the brown skin, and cut one half into quarters. (Save the other half for later)
Put in 10-12 cloves
Juice one lemon

Place all of the above in a bowl, and we sweeten this with Stevia and a little Grade B maple Syrup.

Boil some water, and pour over this, and let it steep for about 7 minutes. Stir it up, and divide it up into cups.

You can re-use the onion and the cloves once or twice. Just add more lemon.

This has the decongestant qualities you want, without all of the chemicals that are in cough syrup, etc.

by cloves do you mean cloves of garlic or the cloves that are the dried brown unopened flowers?

I do NOT mean garlic in this application. (No garlic in this recipe)

I mean cloves that are CLOVES. The brown ones, that smell like sweet spice.

This spice has a numbing effect, and is great for sore throats.

i have heard that chewing/sucking on an actual clove helps with toothaches, too.
